"The Last Log of the Lachrimosa" is a short story set in the Revelation Space universe.

It was published in the digital Subterranean Press Magazine's final issue in summer 2014, and can be read online (archived link).

It was first published as part of a book anthology in 2016, when it appeared in the "Best of Alastair Reynolds" collection Beyond the Aquila Rift, published by Gollancz and Subterranean Press.

It was featured in the collection with three other shorter narratives from the Revelation Space series, already published in two 2000s anthologies of the series' shorter fiction.
