Rafe Van Ness was the Ultranaut captain of the lighthugger Petronel.
He was a close friend of the shipmaster, Inigo Standish.
Personal history[]
Before becoming an Ultranaut and adding extensive modifications to his body (mostly for medical reasons), Van Ness was a member of the Coalition for Neural Purity, during the Conjoiner-Coalition War of the late 22nd and early 23rd century in the Solar System.
