A float-cam was a small, portable, flight-capable camera device.
Aside from providing optical and audio feeds via camera, a float-cam often carried laser sensors for navigation and scanning of the surroundings, and some light sources of its own for illumination.
History[]
Ultranaut captain Forqueray, one of the members of the expedition to the Blood Spire on Golgotha, provided his float-cams to the Spire infiltration team while they were exploring its interior.
Appearances[]
- Diamond Dogs, Turquoise Days novella anthology (2003)
Notes[]
- Functionally, they are quite similar to contemporary small camera drones, with the key difference being the far more advanced and futuristic method of their aerial propulsion.
