A Clockwork Gun was a relatively primitive weapon, owing to the fact that it was available on Sky's Edge. It was composed entirely of carbon -- mainly diamond, but with some fullerenes for lubrication and energy-storage -- and was semi-translucent. Capable of firing spin-stabilized flechettes by a series of fullerene springs and coils, it needed to be wound by a key sometime before each shot. Because of its streamlined design it boasted no stabilizing systems or aim-assist mechanisms.
