The Inhibitor trilogy is the main series of novels in the Revelation Space series. It concerns humanity's discovery of the Inhibitors, an ancient alien race, and their plan to annihilate the human race.
With the addition of the new novel Inhibitor Phase, a sequel to the original trilogy, the trilogy has now been expanded into a longer series. However, though characters and locations from the original trilogy are occassionally revisited, most of Inhibitor Phase focuses on a new cast of characters.
